The mission of the Leadership and Management Development organization is to develop leaders who inspire IBMers and our clients to succeed in making the world work better and who help to create a company that is essential to our clients and to the world. The Senior Development Consultant will be responsible for the necessary analysis and external benchmarking to recommend and implement a suite of leadership offerings and interventions that will accelerate IBM's transformation and provide timely and meaningful experiences to each IBM executive. These offerings must be coherent and progressive to follow an executive throughout their career, amplifying their skill sets and leadership acumen to lead IBM's businesses globally. A formal understanding of program and curriculum design, as well as, an ability to create a contemporary strategy for the development of IBM’s aspiring, new, and senior executives will be essential for the selected candidate.

In support of our mission and ambition, the Leadership Consultant will need to have a deep understanding of IBM’s leadership challenges and draw on the full array of learning and consulting skills to achieve measurable impact. These skills include: design, consulting, facilitation, collaboration, and project or program management.
Executive Leadership Development Consultant role is to:
In achievement of the IBM Strategy and the Management and Leadership Development team goals, translate business objectives and challenges into Leadership Development strategies that drive business impact.
Be a trusted advisor / consultant to the business by building the necessary relationships to prepare and influence the education, experiences and exposures available (or which need to be created) to develop our business leaders. Primary stakeholders include BU stakeholders (Sr. Line Executives, HRVPs, ES&D Directors) and enterprise team members (Leadership Development, Management Development, Learning, Inclusion, Engagement and Talent)
When necessary, partner with executive leaders to fulfill their leadership expectations by providing consultation in change management, organization effectiveness and performance issues and works in partnership with client groups to orchestrate cultural development and organization change initiatives that address their business’ goals and strategies. This position provides advice and support aimed at building organizational cohesion, health and flexibility.
Participate in the design of leadership interventions, introducing new and innovative ideas to drive business value (both enterprise and BU specific).
Collaborate effectively with Executive Succession and Development (ES&D) and Inclusion organizations on talent identification and development planning contributing to the execution of our holistic leadership development process.
Manage program delivery to ensure effective and timely execution of program and project goals.
Facilitate leadership programs and/or interventions and conduct individual coaching or consultations with Senior Leader participants.
Co-create with the broader team in enterprise programs and leadership experiences.
Operate in an agile using social and mobile ways to working

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5 years of Consulting experience (particularly in strategy, organizational development, change management)
Demonstrated performance in leadership development strategy, design and implementation
3-5+ years of experience in project/program management (the ability to manage programs or projects with multiple stakeholders, deliverables, and contributors)
3-5+ years in Research methodology or analytics
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to establish strong presence with executives at all levels
Ability to effectively work in a matrixed environment delivering results that enable partners and clients success
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory
Instructional Design experience
Experience in the facilitation of leadership development programs
Knowledge of personality or leadership assessment methodology, interpretation, and feedback
Experienced executive coaching experience desirable
