Immigration Policy Analyst
Capgemini Government Solutions is searching for a Policy Analyst to join our Justice and Homeland Security team in the Washington, DC area. We are seeking smart, motivated, and entrepreneurial candidates interested in pursuing a career in management consulting.
As a Policy Analyst consultant, you will conduct analysis, research, and reports to support the implementation of DHS programs and policies. Our Policy Analysts are an integral part of our project teams and provide exceptional strategic and operational support
to the client, particularly for more challenging and high-profile projects. You will help manage the entire lifecycle of a project, from researching and defining the concept, to conducting pilot programs, to implementing fully operational programs. As such,
you will need to leverage core project management principles on a daily basis. Customer expectations are high; written and verbal communications with the customer organization occur daily, usually hourly. You will be joining a high-performance team producing
work products that have great visibility, so it is imperative that work products are of the highest quality possible, thorough, and accurate. The team is expected to consistently meet all deadlines, which often include ad hoc requests and short timelines.
Must be eligible for government security clearance
2+ years professional experience
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
Strong record of leadership in an academic or professional setting
Ability to lead program management support functions including project management, requirements gathering, risk and issue management, and process improvements
Ability to develop memorandums, policy papers, and tools that support DHS programs and initiatives
Ability to translate policy and strategic initiatives into quantitative and qualitative data analysis and investigative data research
Able to maintain quality delivery under tight deadlines and consistently meet client expectations
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a dynamic work environment
Ability to manage communications within a large, matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
Self-motivated and entrepreneurial work ethicDesired Skills:
Working Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including SharePoint, Visio, Project, and Power BI
Practical knowledge and/or experience with immigration policy
Experience working with government or non-government organizations
